How We’ve Grown To Where We Are Today

  • February 2002 – the company opens its doors and moves its first shipment after signing an agency agreement with Target Logistics (later acquired by Mainfreight, Inc.), which gives Intelligent Logistics the ability to provide air and ocean freight forwarding services worldwide.
  • December 2004 – receives an award for exceeding $1,000,000 in revenue in a single month. Also received Operational Excellence Quality award.
  • April 2005 – ILS receives broker’s license to offer FTL brokerage service.
  • December 2005 – purchased our first company-owned vehicle.
  • September 2006 – Intelligent Logistics ranked 9th fastest growing company in Central Texas in the Austin Fast 50
  • August 2007 – Intelligent Logistics ranked 551 in the Inc. magazine listing of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in the U.S.
  • September 2007 – Intelligent Logistics ranks number three in Aggie 100.
  • October 2007 – Ranked #5 in the Austin Fast 50.
  • August 2008 – Intelligent Logistics makes the Inc. 500, ranking #434 in Inc. Magazine’s list of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. Tim Miller is featured in a full-page article in Inc. magazine talking about his hobby, songwriting and music.
  • August 2008 – Intelligent Logistics is ranked #3 on the Aggie 100 list.
  • August 2009 – Aggie 100 award received again.
  • 2009 –Tim is accepted as one of 65 people from around the world into the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters’ program. The Austin American Statesman publishes an article announcing this.
  • May 2010 – Tim and Brandon travel to New Zealand and Australia to visit some Mainfreight’s largest terminals and learn best practices. From this trip, we implemented a number of significant changes in our business.
  • September 2010 – Tim, Leah, and Brandon study advanced leadership with renowned psychologist Dr. Gerald Bell in Chapel Hill, NC.
  • January 2011 – ILS moves to present location in Austin with 36,000 square feet.
  • May 2011 – Tim graduates from the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters’ Program.
  • August 2011 – Intelligent Logistics is inducted into the Inc. Honor Roll  for five consecutive times on the Inc. 500/5000 list.
  • August 2012 – Intelligent Logistics earns a 6th consecutive appearance on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S.
  • December 2012 – Brandon Arnold receives designation as a Certified Transportation Broker. There are less than 2,000 people in the industry with this certification.
  • January 2013 – Tim is quoted in American Shipper magazine about technology in the truckload brokerage industry.
  • July 2013 – Leah Fenech receives designation as a Certified Supply Chain Professional.
  • August 2013 – The company is named to the Inc. 5000 for the 7th time. Tim also graduates from Georgia Tech with a M.S. in International Logistics & Supply Chain Strategy.
  • December 2013-Intelligent Logistics finishes the year with a more than 35% growth over the prior year. As a result of achieving it’s goals, a drawing is held for a trip to two to Las Vegas.
  • 2014-we adopt a military theme for the full year. We have 4 quarterly themes arranged around accomplishing specific goals and rewards tied to them. As a result of achieving our company and department goals, there are celebrations including paintball, renting out an entire drive in movie to show “Top Gun”, and a night out bowling.
  • 2015 – our theme is around entertainment. Everything from calling ourselves cast members to all company goals/drawings/awards – even our halloween costumes are themed. Fun events include renting out a theater for a private movie screening. We also make the Inc. 5000 for the 8th time.
  • 2016-We are growing quickly…hiring 13 people in 13 weeks in the first part of the year. Our annual theme is called Amazing Race based on the TV show.
  • May 2016-Intelligent Logistics is named as one of the Best Places To Work in Central Texas by the Austin Business Journal
